Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Wood-fired Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, specialising in authentic wood-fired pizza. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft high-quality, flavourful pizzas in a dynamic restaurant environment, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting wood-fired pizzas while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

• Prepare and cook wood-fired pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including dough, toppings, and sauces
• Operate and maintain wood-fired oven equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including work surfaces, utensils, and equipment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
• Assist with meal preparation for other menu items as required
• Serve food to customers in a professional and friendly manner when necessary
• Monitor stock levels and notify management of supply needs

Experience

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
• Strong background in culinary techniques, particularly with pizza or similar dishes
• Experience working with wood-fired ovens is highly desirable but not essential; training can be provided
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
• Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting preferred
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
