• Urban Sky is a venture-backed aerospace startup that pioneers utilization of the stratosphere and reimagines the way humans view and analyze the earth. We design, build, operate, and sell stratospheric balloon systems, and the data we collect supports a wide range of applications, from real-time wildfire monitoring to urban mapping. Our technology is also employed by government customers including the Department of Defense (DoD), NASA, and others. Urban Sky sends flight vehicles to the stratosphere on a weekly basis.

About The Role

• We are looking for a detail-oriented Expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials, components, and products across our supply chain. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this role will coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to prevent delays and keep projects on schedule. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and willing to travel to support onsite operations as needed, and can efficiently coordinate logistics activities, anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the company's supply chain. This role is onsite at our HQ in Denver, CO.

Key Functions

• Track purchase orders and delivery schedules, ensuring suppliers meet deadlines.
• Proactively follow up with vendors and shipping companies to prevent or resolve delays.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, orders, and delivery status.
• Provide onsite inventory support to our flight operations team as needed.
• Participate in monthly inventory count cycles.
• Provide shipping support for the shipment of packages containing hazardous materials.
• Inspect incoming parts, assemblies, and raw materials and upload materials into our inventory tracking system.
• Report on order progress and flag potential issues to the Logistics Manager.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and flight operations teams for smooth handoffs.
• Support continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency.

Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in either expediting, logistics or procurement
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted
• Must be willing to work in a warehouse, shop environment
• Must be willing to travel up to 10% of time
• Basic computer skills, problem solving and decision-making skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a valid US driver's license
• Must be a US citizen

• Urban Sky is required to post this salary range per Colorado law. Your salary will be determined based on your abilities and experience.
