- StoneTurn is seeking a qualified Executive to join our Disputes practice in our London office.
- Job Summary
- In this position you will be responsible for financial, accounting, and economic analyses related to client engagements and participation in marketing and business development efforts for the complex financial disputes arena. You will add value to our team by having previous audit experience in a professional services firm with additional experience within forensic and dispute-related matters. You will also be eager to gain experience in business development within the marketplace. You should have strong analytical, communication, problem solving, and leadership skills.
- Responsibilities
- * Demonstrate a strong understanding of planning and execution of engagements for a variety of expert witness services resulting in expert reports in litigation and arbitration matters to include, but not be limited to, quantification of losses, accounting disputes, share valuation and fraud analyses
- * Understand, develop and utilise financial analyses organising detailed and potentially complex information into clear and concise analyses, damages theories, claims or conclusions
- * Lead the creation of complex models to analyse economic and financial data using spreadsheets and databases to include the creation of demonstratives such as tables, exhibits and charts for reports
- * Accountable for multiple priorities/projects, timely preparation and quality control of client deliverables while managing the expectations of supervisors and clients to ensure satisfaction
- * Understand and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and work product
- * Perform detailed review of all relevant workings for quality control purposes
- * Develop and communicate oral and written work product internally and to clients
- * Develop and maintain client relationships and relationships within the team
- * Integrate with other StoneTurn practice areas to deliver coordinated services
- * Assist with engagement management process for disputes engagements including budgeting, billing, and conflict checks
- * Demonstrate professionalism and foster a team-oriented environment through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work product
- * Lead and participate in marketing initiatives; researching and identifying opportunities; building a client base and internal (cross-functional) relationships
- Required qualifications and skills
- * Good class degree
- * Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA) – preferably first-time passes
- * Significant audit/assurance experience, preferably at a “Big 4” or highly reputed mid-tier professional services firm
- * Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
- * Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail
- * Excellent prioritisation skills
- * Strong data analysis and manipulation skills with superior knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel (logic statements, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- * Commitment to exemplary client service and deadline delivery
- * Must be flexible with work schedule and travel requirements of client service projects including international assignments
- Other desirable qualifications
- * Prior experience within forensic investigations and dispute-related matters
- * Foreign language capabilities are a plus
