Location: West Thames College, Isleworth (London)
We're working with West Thames College to find their next Executive Director of Resources. Reporting into the Principal/CEO, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team of an Outstanding college, where you can make a real impact across Estates, IT, Cybersecurity, Marketing, Sustainability, Security, and key commercial operations. You will also take strategic responsibility for their Skills + Logistics Centre, helping it grow and become an even stronger part of the College's future. We're looking for a creative, empowering leader who can combine operational expertise with fresh ideas to deliver high-quality services that support staff, students, and the wider community.
Our next Executive Director of Resources will lead on:
* Estates & Facilities, Health & Safety, IT & Cybersecurity, Security and Marketing.
* Strategic development and integration of the Skills + Logistics Centre.
* Capital projects, procurement, audit compliance and business continuity.
* Sustainability strategy, including carbon reduction and progress towards Net Zero.
* Commercial lettings, revenue generation and key contract management.
Key responsibilities:
* Drive long-term strategic planning for Estates, IT, Sustainability and resource management.
* Oversee major capital investments and ensure strong financial and procurement governance.
* Ensure regulatory compliance, risk management and resilient disaster recovery systems.
* Lead and develop high-performing teams through effective workforce planning and succession strategies.
* Provide clear, high-quality reporting to the Principal, Executive Team and governing body.
About you:
* Leadership experience in one or more relevant areas (e.g. IT, Estates, Marketing, Security, Sustainability)
* Public sector experience (education sector is desirable but not essential)
* Outstanding communication skills and experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
* A commitment to inclusive, values-driven leadership.
* Proven experience leading teams, driving performance and supporting professional growth.
