Scope: We’re looking for an experienced consultant to help us redesign our group consolidation process (5 entities in 3 home currencies, reporting currently from 4 different accounting softwares, all with separate chart of accounts). We currently use multiple Excel workbooks with complex mappings, which take 2–3 days to process each month. The goal is to simplify and streamline this into a faster, cleaner, and more scalable model. Key Responsibilities: • Audit and review current consolidation process and Excel structure • Propose and implement a new mapping logic to consolidate financial data from multiple entities • Rebuild or overhaul existing Excel files to reduce manual intervention and complexity • Standardise import templates for entity-level trial balances • Automate key processes (where possible) using Excel, Power Query, or macros • Ensure reconciliation between legacy and new model is 100% accurate • Provide documentation and light training for handover Experience Required: • Proven experience in group consolidation and multi-entity reporting • Strong Excel modelling skills (index-match, array formulas, dynamic ranges, etc.) • Experience building scalable mapping files • Knowledge of financial reporting best practices • Bonus: experience with foreign currency consolidation, intercompany eliminations, or Excel automation tools Timeline: Initial rebuild and testing within 3–4 weeks
