Are you looking for flexible, rewarding work that fits around your schedule? We are recruiting reliable, organised, and vigilant individuals to join our team of Exam Invigilators, supporting secondary schools across the Sefton borough (including Crosby, Bootle, Maghull, and Southport).
This essential role ensures examinations run smoothly, securely, and fairly, providing a calm environment for students to achieve their best.
The Role: Key Responsibilities
As an Exam Invigilator, you will report to the Examinations Officer and be responsible for:
...Setting Up: Preparing exam rooms before the session, including laying out papers, stationery, and ensuring seating plans comply with regulations.
Supervision: Actively supervising students during the exams to maintain a quiet, orderly environment and ensure strict adherence to examination rules.
Documentation: Checking student identity, accurately completing attendance registers, and managing the secure handling of exam papers before, during, and after the session.
Compliance: Responding to student queries raised according to examination board guidelines and promptly escalating any issues or concerns to the Examinations Officer.
Closing Down: Collecting all papers and materials at the end of the exam and securely preparing them for dispatch.
About You
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following:
Reliability: Excellent punctuality and a commitment to working scheduled sessions.
Vigilance: A keen eye for detail and the ability to remain observant for extended periods.
Professionalism: A calm, authoritative, and professional manner, particularly when interacting with young people and managing stressful situations.
Flexibility: The availability to work flexible hours, typically mornings and afternoons, primarily during the busy exam seasons (e.g., November, January, May, and June). No previous experience is required.

Hours: Flexible, casual/part-time basis, with opportunities for full days during peak periods.
