Exams Administration Officer – Faculty of Engineering Fantastic casual opportunity to provide support with scanning of examination papers for the Faculty of Engineering, University of Sydney. 4 positions available (seeking flexibility from 17 November – 3 December, including Saturday 22 & 29 November, and from the 15-19 December) Paid in person onboarding and training to be held on the 13 November. About the Opportunity The Faculty of Engineering is seeking four casual Exams Administration Officers to support the scanning and processing of examination papers. The exam processing periods are from 17 November to 3 December (including Saturday 22 and 29 November) and from 15–19 December, with paid in-person onboarding and training on 13 November. Based at J12/1 Cleveland St, Darlington, the role involves receiving and reconciling exam papers, preparing them for scanning, ensuring accuracy, uploading to SharePoint, and maintaining communication with the Education Support Team. We are seeking candidates who are reliable, detail-oriented, able to remain focused on repetitive tasks and physically mobile for extended periods, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Your key responsibilities: Receiving and checking exam papers from the exams office Reconciling exam papers with attendance sheets Removing staples from exam papers using guillotines Scanning exam papers Ensuring all scanned papers are complete and accurate Uploading exam papers to a secure SharePoint site Re-stapling exam papers Maintaining clear communication with the Faculty of Engineering Education Support Team Perform work activities relevant to the role’s key accountabilities as approved by the Manager, Education Support and commensurate to the role’s classification level.   About you: Ability to maintain continuous mobility for extended periods, including carrying examination papers to and from printers and operating guillotines. Capacity to sustain high attention to detail over extended periods while performing repetitive tasks. Punctual and reliable, calm, and cheerful demeanour. Accurate and efficient administrative skills. Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong computer skills and knowledge, including MS Office Suite. Ability to use initiative, exercise sound judgement related to role responsibility.
