We’re recruiting an Estimator to join a well-established subcontract fabrication business supporting major UK customers with mainly smaller fabrication works. This is a newly created role to strengthen project delivery and provide long-term continuity as a key team member approaches retirement. This role suits someone who enjoys owning projects end-to-end and producing accurate estimates and quotations to support delivery. You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers and production to ensure safe, smooth and cost-effective outcomes, with clear long-term progression. Estimator - The Role - Fabrication, Welding, Account Management, Projects Manage fabrication projects from award through to delivery Coordinate engineering, procurement and production with the Production Manager Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors Ensure safety, quality and contractual compliance Gather and provide site/project information to support delivery Support commercial activity through costing, estimating and quotations Prepare accurate cost estimates (materials, labour, overheads) Obtain supplier/subcontractor pricing Build and submit competitive quotations Confirm scope, feasibility and costs with engineering/production Follow up with clients to clarify requirements and secure approvals Estimator - Skills & Experience - Fabrication, Welding, Account Management, Projects Experience in fabrication, structural steel, access solutions or similar Estimation experience in a fabrication/engineering environment Able to interpret and produce technical drawings Strong understanding of site safety and compliance Confident co
