An exciting opportunity to be part of a newly formed family of schools in the heart of Chelmsford. Are you ready to take the lead in shaping safe, efficient, and inspiring learning environments across a dynamic family of schools?
We are seeking a proactive Estates Manager to oversee the strategic management of our Trust’s buildings, facilities, and health & safety compliance. This is a key role supporting the CFOO and working closely with school teams to ensure our estate is maintained to the highest standards and aligned with our educational mission.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Ø Leading on premises compliance, maintenance, and statutory inspections across all school sites
Ø Line manging a team of site officers across our family of schools
Ø Supporting capital projects and contributing to our Estates Management Plan
Ø Managing service contracts, tenders, and procurement for site-based operations
Ø Driving health & safety excellence, including audits, risk assessments, and emergency planning
Ø Collaborating with Trust and school leaders to maximise lettings income and develop site staff
Ø Maintaining our Asset Management system and supporting Trust-wide initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
• A confident communicator with strong project management and organisational skills
• Experience in estates, facilities, or premises management (ideally in education or public sector)
• A working knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance systems
• A team player who can build effective relationships across central and school-based teams
Location: Trust-wide role with travel across our Chelmsford based schools
