Squerryes Estate, WesterhamSquerryes Estate is seeking an experienced Estate Accountant to take full ownership of finance across a diverse, multi-entity estate business spanning hospitality, wine, property, farming and events. This is a hands-on, senior accounting role reporting directly to the Managing Director, replacing the existing Finance Lead position and playing a central role in the Estate’s long-term financial sustainability.The RoleYou will be responsible for all accounting, reporting and financial control across all Squerryes entities, providing accurate, timely information to support commercial decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & ComplianceResponsibility for accounting across all Squerryes entitiesPreparation of statutory accounts and liaison with external accountantsVAT returns, including partial exemptionGeneral ledger management and reconciliationsManagement Accounts & ReportingMonthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentaryClear, actionable insight for senior managementAd-hoc financial analysis and reportingBudgeting, Forecasting & CashflowLead the annual budgeting processSupport department heads with financial guidance and cost controlCashflow forecasting and planningOperational Finance & ControlsOversight of stock systems, EPOS and till reconciliationsSupplier payments, approvals and banking relationshipsOversight of payroll data (liaison role, not processing)Property FinanceFinancial management of residential and commercial property portfolioRental income, service charges and utilities billingRe-leased billing system management</
