Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across all key stages, from [e.g., Key Stage 3 to A-Level], that meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
• Assess and monitor student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Contribute to the development of the English curriculum, bringing fresh ideas and resources to the department.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel confident to express their ideas.
• Support students in extracurricular activities, such as debating clubs, creative writing workshops, or drama productions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure a cohesive and high-quality learning experience for all students.

What We're Looking For

• A qualified teacher with a degree in English or a related field, and a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching English to a range of abilities and age groups.
• A deep knowledge and passion for literature and language, with the ability to convey this to students.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• A collaborative and positive approach to working as part of a team.
