Job Title: Engineering Stores ManagerSalary: Upto 32,000 DOELocation: GlasgowHours: 07.00 – 15.30 Purpose of the role:As the Engineering Stores Manager, you are responsible for the effective, efficient and economic management of the Engineering Stores Department. Duties:Accountable for all stock control and document processing in the Engineering Stores.Ordering of all stock parts and daily engineering requirements using Pirana Software. Ensure all orders are managed through Stores requisition forms Manage the Stores Budget Effectively communicate between the department and Production on stock availability, delivery dates and expenditure.Liaise with the Accounts Department to ensure invoices and delivery notes are processed correctly.Be responsible for stock levels and critical sparesEnsure that Capex spend is controlled and managed so that all parties are aware of the funding available.Generate reports on a weekly and monthly basis with reference to usage and spend.Actively seek alternative suppliers to widen our supplier network and drive down cost of stock purchasedBenchmark local and OEM suppliers against alternative suppliers.To work with Engineering team and other departments to ensure the smooth running of the business and develop good working relationships with these departments. You will be a strong communicator both written and verbal with exceptional attention to detail and possess excellent problem-solving skills along with the ability to work efficiently and to agreed timescales
