EMEA Data Privacy Manager (AI Focus) based in London. 6 month contract paying up to £500 a day PAYE This role sits within the EMEA Compliance function of a global financial services organisation. It supports regional Data Protection Officers (DPOs) and the wider data privacy team on data protection, cross-border data movement and regulatory compliance matters, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies. The organisation operates across multiple international markets and provides a broad range of banking and financial services. The EMEA Compliance function is responsible for overseeing adherence to applicable laws, regulations and internal standards across the region. The role is based in London and reports to the EMEA Head of Data Privacy. The primary purpose of the role is to provide practical, risk-based data privacy advice to the business and to regional DPOs, particularly in relation to AI tools, advanced technologies and cross-border data transfers, while ensuring alignment with regional and global privacy frameworks. Key Responsibilities Provide clear, practical advice to business stakeholders, including business process owners, on data privacy, transparency and governance obligations related to AI and advanced technology systems, tools and processes. Determine the need for, advise on, review and support data-related assessments, including DPIAs, transfer risk assessments and cross-border data movement assessments, applying a risk-based approach. Identify data privacy risks associated with planned AI initiatives and advise on mitigation strategies, coordinating with global data privacy teams as required.
