- About The Role
- We are looking for an Intelligence Manager to join us in an embedded role for our global financial data and media client. You will be based in the client’s Security Operations team, and contributing to international geopolitical and security analysis, strategic risk assessments and advisory services.
- You will be responsible for overseeing a small team of embedded intelligence analysts and for the delivery of high-quality and actionable strategic intelligence insights. The team is responsible for monitoring, analysing and advising the client on adverse developments that could affect the safety, security, operational continuity and reputation of the business. You will also oversee the team’s support for the incident management response function.
- You will proactively engage with the client and stakeholders on intelligence needs and priorities, and help to scope the output and strategic deliverables of the team. You will act as line manager for the embedded team, supporting each analyst on training, performance management and continuous improvement.
- This is an onsite role at the client’s London office, working Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm, with the potential to work remotely one day a week. There may bean occasional need to work out-of-hours during emergencies and time-sensitive matters.
- Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of the intelligence programme, providing continuous editorial and mentoring support for a small team of globally-dispersed Intelligence Analysts
- Set team priorities, delegate tasks, manage deadlines, provide feedback and ensure high-quality service delivery
- Define and agree on key intelligence priorities with security stakeholders, to optimise the production and delivery of regular and ad hoc products
- Work with the team to prepare and deliver credible, timely and actionable intelligence products and verbal briefings to clearly and accurately inform decision-making
- Build and maintain cross-functional stakeholder relationships (Security, HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain etc.) to identify and encapsulate risk exposure, while identifying any intelligence gaps
- Maintain awareness of innovation within intelligence to ensure implementation of the latest techniques and tactics, best practices, and information relevant to the role
- Display creative thinking and consulting skills to deliver a continually improving service for the client, supporting the global business
- Mentor SOC specialists to ensure the successful fulfilment of threat monitoring priorities, including delivering threat monitoring training
- Oversee team’s support for incident management function as needed, in accordance with established SOPs for escalation and after-action reviews
- Perform any other reasonable tasks requested by the client
- Assist Sibylline with the day-to-day management of the client’s account, facilitating the escalation of problems, challenges and new opportunities as required
- Requirements
- Experience, knowledge and interest in current affairs, international relations and emerging security threats, with expertise in EMEA political and security dynamics
- At least 3-5 years’ professional experience working in a corporate security setting or similar public or private sector environments
- Advanced research, intelligence gathering and analytical skills, and the ability to write high-quality products and deliver high-impact briefings for a senior security audience
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to deliver work with little need for editing, and to quality assure (peer review) intelligence products
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to set and meet deadlines and manage own / a team’s workload accordingly
- Ability to innovate and identify potential opportunities to enhance efficiency and/or effectiveness within a team, including developing own knowledge to increase value
- Ability to solve complex problems with patience and precision, whilst retaining a focus on customer needs
- Ability to build rapport, strong and sustainable relationships, and interact within all levels of the client
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Nice to have
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate qualifications in International Security, Intelligence, Risk, Geopolitics or other related disciplines, or equivalent professional experience
- Line management experience
- Cross-functional experience within a global security or intelligence team
- Knowledge of foresight analytics and / or experience establishing horizon scanning products
- Regional language skills strongly preferred
- Experience in data analysis and visualisation
