- This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and clean environment of care throughout the treatment facility, ensuring the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. The role requires overseeing the maintenance of all critical, life safety, and equipment systems to guarantee their efficient operational readiness. Duties include troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of hospital equipment and systems, as well as performing construction tasks to prepare the hospital for new furnishings, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates self-direction and consistently works toward achieving department goals and objectives.

- Applicants for this position need strong collaborative skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with colleagues in a team environment. Excellent communication abilities and a proactive positive approach to problem-solving are essential. In this role, the individual serves as a key maintenance resource, responsible for monitoring the operational status and condition of hospital equipment and systems. The position is integral to ensure the department delivers high-quality, cost-effective maintenance support throughout the hospital, contributing to a safe and efficient environment of care for patients, visitors, and staff.
- · High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- · Graduation from a maintenance-related technical school or five (5) years of on-the-job training (Required)
- · 3+ years of hospital maintenance experience (Preferred)
- · Demonstrates professionalism in actions and dress, providing service to others in a willing and courteous manner
- · Responds to customers’ comments or informal complaints about hospital systems or operations and provides recommendations to the supervisor within 24 hours
- · Maintains and completes maintenance journals, logs, and time sheets on a daily basis
