Are you a qualified and experienced Electrician with a background in a heavy industrial environment? We have a permanent opportunity for a dedicated Electrical Craft Team Member to join a leading employer in the Corby area. This is a chance to join an organization undergoing significant investment and development.
About the Role
As an Electrical Craft Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems across the plant. You'll perform planned and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime, troubleshoot a variety of circuits and drives, and conduct basic PLC fault finding on systems like Siemens S7. You'll also work with computerized maintenance management systems (MMS) and contribute to plant reliability through improvement projects. Adhering to strict Health and Safety protocols is a key part of your role.
Essential Requirements
- A qualified Electrician who has completed a time-served apprenticeship.
- Previous experience (2+ years) within a heavy industrial environment.
- Experience with low voltage systems, drives, and PLCs.
- Ability to fault find and conduct root cause failure analysis.
- Familiarity with SAP or an equivalent system.
- A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential due to the rotating shift pattern.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation.
- The 18th Edition is desirable.
Pay & Benefits
- Salary: £36,779 - £37,586 per annum, which includes a 15% shift allowance. This rises after a probationary period.
- Shifts: A rotating pattern of days, lates, and nights from Monday to Friday.
- Start: ASAP, pending a medical assessment which includes a drug and alcohol test.
