Location: Broadoak, BAE Systems site

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Overview:As an Approved Electrician at Mitie working on the Broadoak BAE site, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This includes planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a secure and high-specification environment.

Key Responsibilities:
-Perform electrical installation and maintenance of low voltage systems.

-Work on electrical equipment, hazardous area systems, and fire alarms.

-Read and interpret electrical drawings including circuit diagrams and schematics.

-Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive tasks.

-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and permit-to-work systems.

-Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

-Respond to emergency call-outs as required.

-Collaborate with other trades and site teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience:
-Essential:
-NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.

-18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

-City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (Testing & Inspection).

-Full UK driving licence.

-Experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or industrial environments.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Desirable:
-CompEx EX01-EX04 (for hazardous areas).

-Fire alarm and emergency lighting certification.

-Experience working in MOD or secure environments.

-IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S training.
