Opportunity to provide education and specifically curriculum support in a Faculty that is a passionate leader in creating a digital, sustainable and healthier future Base Salary $103,185- $111,237 p.a (HEO6) + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Faculty of Engineering is inviting applications for Education Support Officer. The role provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to projects, teaching and learning and Education portfolios in the School. The role ensures the effective delivery of education services across the Faculty and its Schools. While formally part of the Faculty's Education Services Portfolio, the role will be fully embedded in Electrical and Computer Engineering or be deployed at the Faculty level, where it will focus on delivering a wide range of curriculum, administrative, and operational support to academic staff and the School Manager. The position plays a key role in supporting the School’s curriculum delivery and education-related processes. The Education Support Officer may also contribute to Faculty-wide education initiatives and projects as needed. The role reports both to the School and the Faculty, reflecting its dual alignment. Success in this role will require flexibility, resilience, and the ability to navigate an element of ambiguity, as the Faculty continues to implement a renewed operating model for education support services. Your key responsibilities will be to: contribute to Student engagement activities and other related projects provide operational support in the school maintain a comprehensive understanding of the student life cycle including enrolment, special considerations, appeals, exams, results progressing and integrity case management for both undergraduate and postgraduate students contributes to processes for curriculum management and student advising, including unit of study proposals and changes, majors, degree and program core and electives coordinate non-academic accreditation requirements for one or more programs of study provide secretarial support to committees work across education services teams in peak- times and closely collaborate with schools and their education staff. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a highly motivated Education Support Officer who has: experience delivering support to education programs in a tertiary education environment experience working in a tertiary environment with working knowledge of using Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, with a sound understanding of curriculum and teaching activities flexible and agile with the ability to work in different teams effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written), together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes extensive knowledge of university policies and administrative processes within a tertiary environment. superior computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) together with experience operating with large, corporate-level database and information systems.
