The Faculty of Engineering is looking for four Education Administrative Officers to play a vital role in supporting the students’ academic journey and ensuring smooth delivery of key administrative processes. Specifically, these roles will provide essential support in the end-to-end management of casual academic appointments within the Faculty. The roles’ primary responsibilities include coordinating Expression of Interest (EOI) campaigns, assisting with recruitment and selection processes, and ensuring accurate casual academic workload allocation and record-keeping through the Online Teaching Allocation system (OTA). These positions work closely with Unit Coordinators, School Managers, and the broader casual administrative team to deliver a streamlined, compliant, and efficient process that supports teaching quality and a positive experience for casual academics, Unit of Study coordinators and with that our students. The Education Administration Officers will exercise sound judgement, apply procedural knowledge, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of administrative practices within the team. Outside of peak times, these roles will perform general administrative duties for the designated work area, ensuring tasks are completed in an efficient and effective manner. They act as the initial point of contact within the work area and utilise judgement and procedural knowledge to coordinate processes and organise the flow of information. These roles will be embedded in schools for 2-3 days, and day to day reports to the school manager but also has a dotted line to Faculty level for training and consistency purposes (1 day per week). They are part of the larger casual academic services administrative team. Your key responsibilities will be to: deliver general administrative and operational support deliver data entry into the Online Teaching Allocation system (OTA) explore issues and provide advice, recommendations, and solutions ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining confidentiality at all times collaborate with staff and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards. contribute to the community of practice. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a highly motivated Education Administrative Officer who has: a tertiary qualification with some relevant work experience; and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training two to four years of administrative experience, preferably in the higher education sector experience supporting education program delivery and managing student-related processes proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management skills.
