About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use):09 The Team: The news team for Platts, the news and markets reporting division of S&P Global Commodity Insights, covers a varied and dynamic energy industry grappling with increasingly complex trade flows, geopolitics and regulatory pressures. Our London-based editors are part of a larger global news team comprehensively covering the commodities and shipping sectors. Responsibilities and Impact: This London-based EMEA news editor will report on the oil, shipping and chemicals industries of the region, producing a wide range of content, including breaking news stories, in-depth features, interactive infographics and podcasts.The coverage will explain how the oil trade impacts the region's economies, amid the dueling challenges of energy security imperatives and decarbonization targets.Platts news across the commodities chain can move markets, influence policy and shape executive decisions.The person hired for this role will work closely with news counterparts across the region and the world, including EMEA staff in London, Dubai and Riyadh, and a network of stringers.Ambitious journalists will have scope to pursue a plethora of stories and interviews to inform and educate our readers.
