This role involves supporting children, working alongside others and being able to work using initiative and/or under the guidance of the Early Years Teachers. To contribute to making observations and assessments, ensuring ongoing records for children (including particular individuals or groups) in the setting, in consultation with other team members, to provide for children’s individual needs. To support working with parents and children together, encouraging and involving parents/carers in children’s learning and other Early Years foundation stage activities.
