We are now looking for staff to be based at North Manchester General Hospital to deliver excellent support services to the Hospital.
As a Domestic Assistant - you will deliver a full and comprehensive cleaning service to the Hospital.
Positions that are available are:
1 x Nights, 22.5hrs working, working 10pm to 6am Friday, Saturday and Sunday
4 x Weekday Days, 37.5hrs working Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm
1 x Weekday Days, 35hrs working Monday to Friday 7am to 2.30pm
1 x Weekday Days, 20hrs working Monday to Friday 7am to 11am
1 x Weekday Days, 25hrs working Monday to Friday 7am to 12am
2 x Weekday Evenings, 20hrs working Monday to Friday 4pm to 8pm
1 x Weekday Evenings, 30hrs working Monday to Friday 3pm to 9pm
2 x Weekend Days, 15hrs working Saturday and Sunday 7am to 3pm
1 x Weekend Days, 15hrs working Saturday and Sunday 6am to 2pm
1 x Weekend Days, 15hrs working Saturday and Sunday 2pm to 10pm
As we are a healthcare organisation that is open 7 days per week, the successful candidates will work on bank holidays, including Christmas.
Please note that this is a domestic cleaning role and not a nursing assistant role.
Main duties of the job
1. Carrying out daily duties as instructed by the Domestic Supervisor.
2. General / routine cleaning of wards, clinical and non-clinical departments / offices, communal areas, public areas and toilets in line with the local cleaning schedules as
designated.
3. Assisting in any infection control deep cleans as directed by Domestic Supervisors or Domestics Manager.
4. Ensuring that all barrier nursing and infection related PPE is fully utilised in line with the displayed signs on patient doors.
5. Ensuring that all cleaning materials are used in accordance with mandated facilities processes (e.g. one cloth and one mop per patient room).
6. Ensuring that your designated cleaning cupboard and cleaning trolley is kept clean, is fully stocked to the agreed levels and is well organised at all times.
7. Ensuring that all designated cleaning equipment in your area is thoroughly cleaned and appropriately sterilised after use in order to minimise the spread of infections. This
should include replaceable parts (e.g. filters in vacuum cleaners, floor pads on the buffer and scrubber drier machines).
8. Carrying out cleaning in accordance with the local frequency schedules and procedures.
9. Assisting with any corrective actions that may be identified as part of the frequent
auditing of cleanliness and the patient environment.
10. Ensuring that correct and safe methods of work are employed at all times with extra
care shown to the safety of patients, staff and visitors
