  • This Document Management Specialist role is an experienced leadership role within the Commercial Administration organization. This role will be key to the continued buildout of the framework and updating of the Policy, Process and Procedure function within the Commercial Line of Business, focused on improving business processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. It is a foundational aspect of the risk management and operational control structure of the Line of Business. The role will also serve as an advocate for process improvement and thought leader on how process optimization may be achieved. This role will work across all areas of the Commercial Line of Business. This role will be a key member of the Commercial Administration organization focused on delivering operational excellence within the Commercial Banking Line of Business. This position will be required to be on site at 1010 Grand in Kansas City for meetings. How you will spend your time: Administer Policy, Process and Procedure management program for the Commercial Bank. Lead efforts on the buildout of the process and procedure infrastructure, including tools and techniques by cataloguing and performing full lifecycle management of the Commercial Banking processes and procedures. Collaborate with partners and support Commercial Banking to respond to requests from and timely resolve issues identified by regulatory bodies, internal audits or compliance engagements, or self-assessments. May be primary liaison for internal audit/compliance reviews, as well as external exams. Partner with Commercial leadership to ensure proper controls are in place. Partner with Commercial associates to analyze existing workflows, develop process documentation, collaborate with teams, and utilize data analysis tools to monitor performance and drive improvements. Lead and manage process improvement projects, influencing stakeholders, and contributing to strategic initiatives. Ensure dashboard process and procedure health, including pipeline of upcoming reviews and facilitate process reviews to ensure cadence is adhered to and data is accurate and updated. Act as liaison and consultant to collaborate and support change management occurring as part of projects that touch Commercial processes. Participate in the support and/or development of training programs/educational forums for key employees on new or changed processes, impacts, industry best practices and pending legislation. Provide strategic input, contributing to strategic initiatives by providing insights into process performance and recommending improvements that align with business objectives. We are excited to talk with you if: Must have Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of professional work experience with 4+ years specific business process management and procedure documentation experience OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background. Business Process Management certification such as Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP), Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) Professional, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or similar. Strong working knowledge of banking industry and regulatory guidelines. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop and cultivate internal and external relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in documenting, evaluating, and analyzing diverse and complex company functions and processes that identify key risks and controls to facilitate the development of value-added business compliance and control improvement recommendations. Ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to work independently or in a group setting. Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Ability to show flexibility, as departmental needs change or depending on requirements of the organization. Compensation Range: $69,230.00 - $149,000.00 The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors. In addition, this range does not encompass the full earning potential for this role.
