  • Job Description
  • At LGC, we provide an outstanding chance for a motivated individual to assume the role of Director of Sales - EMEA. Responsibilities include managing a dedicated business development team, driving growth for our Quality Measurement Tools (QMT) portfolio, and supporting global IVD partnerships. Focus on the EMEA region with potential expansion into APAC, leading and innovating in a multifaceted market.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Drive balanced growth with our strategic partners, focusing on their EMEA affiliates. Manage key relationships, including country managers, sales managers, and senior sales executives.
  • Coordinate a business development team across Europe, with expansion into regions within and beyond EMEA.
  • Lead and manage in-person key sales visits with strategic partners, supporting your team.
  • Develop sales support materials and conduct sales training sessions for our strategic allies, both internally and externally, covering QMT and Informatics products.
  • Maintain a strong level of product knowledge, ensuring LGC continues to offer leading solutions. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer requirements on an ongoing basis.
  • Conduct market surveys and analysis of the perceived performance of LGC products, gaining feedback from strategic partners and end-user clinical diagnostic laboratories.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the LGC team, such as operations, R&D, QA/RA, and leadership, to achieve strategic partner performance goals and meet customer expectations.
  • Establish sales targets and goals that are aggressive, realistic, and aligned with the overall company strategy.
  • Present monthly reporting metrics to LGC leadership on the performance of internal and external strategic partners.

  • Self-motivated with a passion for the IVD industry and pride in delivering business objectives.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication, with impactful presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated organisational and prioritisation skills to manage a diverse workload in a matrix environment.
  • Shown capability in handling projects with input from collaborators.
  • Demonstrated narrative/storytelling ability to excite and encourage others around key recommendations.
  • Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
  • BSc and/or MSc in a Science related discipline. MBA desirable.
  • Minimum of 7-10 year’s relevant IVD sales experience. Quality Control sales experience desirable
  • A track record of sustained sales growth and managing a sales team required.
  • Frequent travel throughout EMEA required, with infrequent travel beyond.
