  • ABOUT THE ROLE
  • The Bamford Collection is seeking an exceptional Director of Home to define and lead the creative, strategic, and commercial vision for our Homeware, Bath & Body, and Home Fragrance categories.
  • This is a senior, brand-shaping role, with a particular emphasis on elevated creative taste, cultural relevance, and timeless luxury. The Director of Home will bring a sensibility aligned with the world’s most refined luxury houses — instinctively understanding how to build products that feel desirable, restrained, emotionally resonant, and enduring.
  • This role requires a rare balance of creative authority and commercial judgement. You will set the long-term product vision, ensure rigorous execution across all channels, and protect the integrity of the Bamford brand while driving sustainable growth.
  • The role is ideally based at Daylesford Farm in the Cotswolds, working closely with the Founder and leadership team in a highly collaborative, hands-on environment. However, alternative locations may be considered where there is a demonstrably strong working dynamic with the Founder and the wider team.
  • This role is full time and based at the Daylesford Farm office 5 days a week.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • CREATIVE & BRAND LEADERSHIP
  • Define and own the creative vision for the Home categories, setting a clear and elevated aesthetic direction aligned with the Bamford ethos of craftsmanship, sustainability, wellbeing, and understated luxury.
  • Act as a creative partner to the Founder, translating instinct, taste, and brand values into commercially successful and culturally relevant product collections.
  • Establish a level of design quality, materiality, and finish comparable with leading global luxury houses, ensuring products feel timeless rather than trend-driven.
  • Ensure a cohesive and emotionally compelling brand expression across retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and Bamford locations worldwide.
  • Serve as a senior brand ambassador internally and externally, articulating product vision with clarity, confidence, and authority.
  • PRODUCT STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle across all Home categories, from initial concept and sourcing through to development, launch, and long-term performance.
  • Shape a clear category architecture and long-term product roadmap, balancing icon products with considered innovation and evolution.
  • Work closely with Creative, Marketing, Retail, E-commerce, Wholesale, and Supply Chain teams to deliver refined, coherent, and high-performing collections.
  • Ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and ethical sourcing.
  • Oversee visual merchandising and product presentation, ensuring storytelling, restraint, and consistency at every customer touchpoint.
  • COMMERCIAL & CATEGORY LEADERSHIP
  • Own category performance across all channels, with responsibility for pricing strategy, margin, forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Make disciplined, data-informed decisions around range depth, assortment, and lifecycle management, protecting brand equity while driving profitability.
  • Identify growth opportunities and category extensions that feel authentic, credible, and aligned with long-term brand value.
  • Monitor market trends and customer insight, applying them selectively and intelligently rather than reactively.
  • TEAM & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP
  • Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing product team, setting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Act as a unifying force across creative and commercial functions, bringing clarity, focus, and momentum to complex projects.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with global suppliers and manufacturing partners, prioritising craftsmanship, quality, and long-term partnership.
  • OPERATIONAL & GLOBAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure consistent execution and product standards across all Bamford Collection locations and channels.
  • Travel internationally as required to meet suppliers, oversee development, and support key launches.
  • Drive operational rigour in product development and sourcing, without compromising creative integrity or brand values.
  • SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
  • Proven experience at Director level within a luxury, premium, or culturally-led lifestyle brand.
  • Demonstrated leadership of Homeware categories; experience across Bath & Body or Fragrance highly advantageous.
  • Strong creative eye and product instinct, with the ability to define and defend a clear point of view.
  • Deep understanding of luxury brand positioning, storytelling, and customer expectation at the highest level.
  • Commercially astute, with experience managing pricing, margin, forecasting, and inventory at scale.
  • Confident, credible communicator, able to work closely with founders and senior stakeholders.
  • Naturally refined taste level, with an appreciation for craftsmanship, materials, and subtlety.
  • Strategic yet hands-on; comfortable moving between concept, detail, and delivery.
  • Collaborative, grounded, and emotionally intelligent.
  • Flexible on location, with a strong desire to build close, trusted relationships with the Founder and team.
