- About the Job
- We are seeking an experienced and passionate PR & Communications Director to lead the development and execution of PR & Communications strategies that introduce the brand, drive awareness, protect reputation, and acquire Life360 members in our priority international markets. This leader is experienced in coupling global brand narratives with localised nuance and has a passion for crafting stories that push boundaries to make a memorable and on-brand impression on millions of people around the world.
- This role will own PR & Comms initiatives for Life360 in the UK, Europe (with an initial focus on the Netherlands and Germany), Australia, Canada, and LATAM, driving maximum reach and achieving our goal of becoming the number one brand that makes everyday family life better.
- This leader will be part of the Marketing team and will be based in London, with a hybrid model of remote and in-person/office meetings (1-2 days a week).
- What You’ll Do
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Lead strategic planning and execution of all international PR initiatives
- Align PR initiatives with overall marketing campaign planning to create outsized share of voice through effective integrated storytelling
- Collaborate closely with the US Communications team to ensure strategies and messaging are aligned across all regions and markets
- Create and manage annual PR plans, including budgets, timelines, product launches and execution, with ongoing iteration of strategies and tactics based on trends and feedback
- Manage key PR agency partners in each market
- Oversee pitching, media monitoring, and reporting results
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and industry stakeholders to influence and further favorable perceptions about the brand
- Proactively find opportunities to tell our brand story, including data-driven storytelling, to create a steady drumbeat of media mentions, positioning Life360 as a leader in making everyday family life better
- Ensure proper brand and corporate positioning and messaging across PR placements
- Evaluate and handle all inbound media inquiries
- Manage all interviews – including briefs, media events and press releases
- Track, analyse and report on media trends and sentiment, in addition to the performance of PR campaigns against set KPIs, sharing clear insights and actionable recommendations to improve performance
- Partner with the Communications team to align and handle region specific crisis communications, including media inquiries, messaging, proactive planning, etc.
- Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders in Marketing (Growth/Performance & CRM), Product, Creative, Testing, Legal, Finance and more to support our international marketing roadmap
- What We’re Looking For
- Ten or more years of experience in PR, journalism, or communications, with a track record of delivering coverage and growing brand trust in multiple countries and languages
- A skilled storyteller who applies art (creative) and science (data) campaigns to targeted audiences. Must have earned data story examples.
- Proactive PR expert who plans 6-12 months out with a clear goal in sight, but who can also move fast to newsjack trends and maximize reactive opportunities
- Experience creating and executing global media strategies, including localising an existing product to international markets
- A history of launching PR campaigns showing a great understanding of and passion for local nuances, and the ability to translate these into clear communications
- Demonstrated experience repeatedly creating moments that "find the zeitgeist"
- Proven perception moving storyteller among teen audiences (Gen Alpha, before Gen Z)
- Curious and eager to learn about our members and business
- Quick and nimble to identify and capitalise on timely and relevant stories
- Possess a strong network of media contacts with whom you have trusted relationships
- Expert-level communicator and writer
- Fearless at applying viral or stunt activations to garner desired brand attention
- Experience in influencer marketing, and/or an understanding how influencer marketing can be used to drive earned media, a plus
