Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Admissions the Director, International Admissions & Partnerships is responsible for all activities related to the recruitment, outreach and registration of prospective international students. This includes coordinating efforts to align strategies to meet Academy of Art University’s international enrollment goals, managing a team of International Admissions Representatives and working closely with campus partners on shared international student outreach efforts and initiatives. The Director, International Admissions & Partnerships must also be aware of current market trends related to international students, conduct research and make informed recommendations to executive leadership on both established and emerging international student markets. Additionally, this position will be responsible for evaluating existing international recruiting partnerships, enhancing established relationships, and seeking out and creating new partnerships that will build the University’s reputation within international markets and increase the University’s reach to international applicants. The ideal candidate will either reside in the vicinity of the Bay Area or be excited at the opportunity to visit our vibrant campus as needed throughout the year. They will also be an outside of the box thinker that wants to not only successfully complete everything on their job description but have a desire to support in areas outside of International Admissions. A flexible, high energy individual that can quickly pivot from one priority to another will be the successful candidate. Responsibilities: Identify, develop, evaluate and manage partnerships within the international educational community to increase brand awareness and new student enrollment. Develop international outreach and recruitment strategies with input from Executive Vice President. Implement strategies in collaboration with key academic and administrative campus partners. Work closely with international student advisors at high schools and community colleges to establish strong working relationships to advise students of transfer opportunities. Lead, motivate and train the International Admissions team to effectively meet the University’s enrollment goals, which includes regularly monitoring team progress against established goals, providing feedback and coaching and holding team member’s accountable for meeting their objectives. Responsible for the International Admissions team productivity, including tracking of individual team member enrollments, time management and overall job quality and effectiveness. Train International Admissions team members on matters of initial immigration, SEVIS requirements, English proficiency standards, policies around international admissions and transcript evaluation, and incoming transfer related issues in compliance with the rules and regulations of SEVIS. Advise on escalated matters. Advise on and contribute to the operational processes within the University that support international students’ needs. Manage and maintain the International Admissions budget. Provide regular updates on budget to Executive Vice President. Coordinate and participate in recurring Admissions events, including creation of the team’s work schedule and ensuring operational set-up for events.
