- Overview
- The HRBP champions the People and Culture agenda by advising, coaching and influencing leadership teams to help implement the near and longer-term business strategy and plans at a Cluster / Country level. As a strategic business advisor and coach, the HRBP applies consulting skills with data driven and external market insights to deliver an organizational aligned workforce strategy with talent interventions that span talent management; organization design and effectiveness; culture; transformation and change; and employee experience.
In this position, the HR Business Partner will
- Strategically Partner with senior leaders to evolve and execute robust people strategies as appropriate per group all with the purpose of driving business objectives.
- Optimize team effectiveness and employee engagement, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative inputs.
- Create organization designs that position Alnylam for both efficient and effective growth globally.
- Focus on leadership effectiveness through identifying top talent and associated development opportunities and ensuring effective plans, strategies and programs are in place to continue building leadership capabilities.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse talent related data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business decision-making.
- Lead select regional or enterprise-wide HR initiatives (examples may include succession planning, performance management process, learning & development initiatives).
- Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR strategy and execution across Cluster/Country. Ensure alignment between business imperatives and the HR agenda. Partner with senior leaders to determine effective HR solutions to facilitate organizational growth and effectiveness.
- Act as strategic advisor on all aspects of people and leadership including personal development plans, change management, team effectiveness, employee engagement, influencing in a matrix model and organization design.
- Run annual HR processes (i.e. compensation planning, performance management, talent planning, promotions, workforce planning, investment planning, organization design etc.).
- Support the talent development needs of employees and leaders across Cluster/Country.
- Ensure robust onboarding plans are in place for new leaders and managers.
- Work with Cluster/Country leadership to support the organizational effectiveness of teams and the implementation of organizational initiatives.
- Acts as the escalation point for any issues or concerns raised by the business.
- Build strong partnerships across the HR organization and with key partners, specifically with Total Rewards, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, People Relations, Legal, Compliance and HRBP peers to inform and implement company-wide programs and initiatives while ensuring client’s needs are understood and met.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree (i.e. MBA) preferred.
- Fluent English; additional languages advantageous
- 10+ years of experience in HR. Experience in HR Centers of Excellence (i.e. Talent Management) preferred.
- Biotech or pharma industry experience required.
- Dynamic and creative HR leader who can coach leaders and managers, advise on organizational design, and create robust talent planning strategies.
- Successful track record of independently managing multiple projects in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Successful track record of partnering with client groups.
- Ability to design and execute project plans, identifying interdependencies and incorporating related communication/change management plans.
- Excellent attention to detail and execution skills and the ability to translate HR strategy into actionable initiatives.
- Experience in influencing without authority and stakeholder management.
- Strong points of view on how to scale culture including best practices in team dynamics, working in a network operating model design, and ensuring organizational values are realized.
- Strong partner to Global HRBPs and all HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to drive creative HR programs and solutions.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment required.
- Ability to work as part of collaborative HR team.
- Willingness to travel internationally, as needed.
