As a Digital Marketing Specialist – SEM, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing cutting-edge SEM strategies for our large-scale expos and conferences, driving measurable results and elevating our brands' reach within the tech community.

- What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and Execute SEM Strategies: Craft tailored SEM strategies to support event attendee acquisition and sponsorship goals, ensuring alignment with broader marketing objectives.
- Campaign Management: Take ownership of paid search, display/programmatic, and social campaigns, from setup to optimization, driving significant increases in brand awareness, lead quality, and audience growth.
- Leverage AI and MarTech: Utilize internal and external AI tools and MarTech platforms to drive innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness across all campaign initiatives.
- Data-Driven Insights: Conduct in-depth industry and audience analysis to identify trends and opportunities, ensuring campaigns are optimized for maximum impact.
- Advanced Tracking and Reporting: Set up cross-domain tracking, GA4 views/segments, and consistent UTM tracking to measure campaign performance from first touchpoint to conversion.
- Performance Optimisation: Continuously refine campaigns to ensure relevance and effectiveness, collaborating with SEO and portfolio marketing teams to maximize results.
- Stakeholder Communication: Create and share weekly and monthly performance dashboards with actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Budget Management: Track and manage SEM budgets, ensuring ROI is maximized and benchmarks such as CPAs and CPLs are consistently met.
- Competitor Analysis: Stay ahead of the competition by uncovering strategic opportunities through keyword targeting and market research.
- Post-Campaign Reporting: Deliver comprehensive post-campaign reports, summarising performance metrics, ROI, lead quality, and conversion rates against targets.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up to date with the latest SEM trends, tools, and SGE changes to ensure campaigns remain innovative and impactful.
- Qualifications
- We’re seeking a results-driven, strategic thinker with a passion for digital marketing innovation. To excel in this role, you’ll need hands-on experience in PPC, Display, and Paid Social.
- Skills and Expertise
- Technical SEM Knowledge: Extensive experience in creating and optimising PPC, display, and paid social campaigns, including remarketing and lead generation.
- AI and MarTech Proficiency: Experience leveraging AI tools and platforms like SEMrush and ahrefs to forecast, analyze, and optimize campaigns.
- Analytical Excellence: Strong ability to analyze campaign performance, identify trends, and apply data-driven insights to optimize results.
- Tracking and Reporting: In-depth knowledge of GA4, GTM, and UTM tracking, with experience building dashboards in Looker Studio or PowerBI (a bonus).
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop SEM strategies informed by audience, product, and industry research.
- Communication Skills: Strong communicator with experience presenting trends, strategies, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- B2B and Events Knowledge: Familiarity with B2B marketing and events is preferred but not essential.
