Our client is a leading quantiative firm and are seeking a Desktop Engineer to support their London office which is predominantly a trading floor environment. The Desktop Engineer will work closely with internal IT teams and global technology counterparts to troubleshoot and solve problems. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1st & 2nd line support for desktop hardware and softwareDiagnose technical issues using tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, WinDbg, Check_MK, etc.Continuous improvement of support processes and the implementation of new tools/proceduresDeliver user services including application support, inventory management, and web conferencing.Sustain the Knowledge Base Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.3+ years of experience in desktop support, covering both software and hardware.Strong proficiency with Windows desktop environments, including registry level configuration.Good understanding of printers, peripherals, graphics cards, and workstation hardware.Familiarity with trading floor or high pressure support environments is beneficial.PowerShell scripting experience is desirable not essential
