The base location is Edinburgh but the successful candidate must be willing to travel throughout SGN’s Southern and Scotland Networks to carry out site inspections and attend meetings with other business areas or external parties including building owners.We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Here’s how you will contribute…Producing standard designs for MOBsProducing complex designs for MOBs installationsPreparation of scaled drawings including 3D BIM Level 2 and creating a library of designsRequirement to travel to sitesEnsure designs are compliant with the relevant Legislation and technical standardsProduce any design variations on projectsWork with operational teams on application of designsWork with Local Authorities and other 3rd parties on planning and approval of designsProduce installation completion packsSupporting the wider Network Management team with other tasks when requiredWhat you will needUnderstanding of the gas industryIdeally hold a HNC Mechanical/Engineering or higherMust be highly competent and experienced in the use of CAD/ Revit, with a good knowledge of software (2D essential, 3D preferable)Ability to work in a team or autonomously when requiredGood communication ski
