Your new company Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality engineering solutions from concept through to production, with a particular focus on SolidWorks 3D modelling. Working closely with their production and fabrication teams, you will ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and compliant with their quality and safety standards. Your new role Support the development and refinement of existing productsParticipate in new product design and development from concept to completionEnsure designs support efficient manufacturing processes, making adjustments as necessary during productionLiaise with the production team to resolve technical queries and issues against drawingsMaintain and update design record files in line with company quality systemsEngage directly with customers to resolve design-related issuesConsistently adhere to company Health & Safety policies and procedures What you'll need to succeed Hold a relevant Degree/Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a minimum of 2 years working in an engineering environmentProven SolidWorks experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentAbility to deliver accurate designs to deadlinesInitiative and capability to lead or support projects to meet customer specificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a team What you'll get in return Competitive salary (negotiable based on experience)Opportunity to work on diverse projects in a growing company
