Design CoordinatorDorsetI am working with a leading contractor specialising in building, infrastructure and fit-out projects for a Design Coordinator to join the team on a permanent basis. The business delivers a wide range of building and infrastructure projects across sectors including health, education and secure environments, providing support from early project stages through to completion.The purpose of the Design Coordinator to support the delivery of coordinated, compliant design on live construction projects. Working closely with the Design Manager, you’ll help manage the consultant and subcontractor design process from detailed design through procurement and construction, ensuring information is fully coordinated, compliant with regulations, and issued in line with agreed programmes to enable timely starts on site. This role suits someone with strong technical coordination experience who enjoys being at the centre of design, commercial and site teams. Key responsibilities: Coordinating consultants, subcontractors and technical design information across design, procurement and constructionSupporting the Design Manager with reviews of consultant and subcontractor design outputsManaging design programmes, approvals schedules and information flow to commercial, operations and client teamsEnsuring designs meet company standards, regulatory requirements and budget constraintsIssuing complete, coordinated design packages to construction and commercial teamsManaging change control, RFIs and design-related site queries through to close-outLiaising with planning authorities, building control and third parties to secure approvalsMonitoring design compliance on site through meetings and site visitsCompiling handover documentation including H&S files and O&M manuals About
