About the Role The Deputy Head of English at Reddish Hall School is a key leadership role within our specialist SEMH provision, driving excellence in English teaching while supporting the wider strategic vision of the school. Working closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, therapy teams and colleagues across the school, you will lead the development of a responsive, inclusive and trauma-informed English curriculum that meets the complex needs of pupils who may have experienced disrupted education, attachment difficulties and barriers to learning. This role combines curriculum leadership with high-quality classroom practice, ensuring that pupils make strong academic progress while developing confidence, resilience and readiness for their next stage of education, training or employment. You will champion inclusive practice, model outstanding teaching, and play a central role in maintaining a calm, purposeful and aspirational learning environment.
