About the role
- Depot Operations Support - InPost Distribution Nantgarw depot.
- Are you ready to be at the heart of a fast-paced, dynamic parcel operation? Join InPost Distribution as a Depot Operations Support team member and play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth daily parcel activities, exceptional customer care, and seamless administration in our bustling Nantgarw depot!
- 📍 Location: 5 Heol Billingsley, Parc, Nantgarw, Cardiff CF15 7QZ
- 📅 Shift Pattern: First week - Mon to Fri & Second Week Tuesday to Saturday
- 🕒 Hours: 09:30am - 18:00pm
- 💰 Salary: £12.51 per hour
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for all administrative requirements relating to transport
- Liaise with internal and external customers, suppliers and drivers
- Ensure the timely despatch of outbound vehicles and track them on their journeys
- Monitor the arrival of inbound vehicles and liaise with the warehouse team
- Identify and monitor issues trends
- Contribute ideas which will improve our ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Support the planning of routes
- Ensure that the operation remains legally compliant through monitoring drivers’ hours and downloading tachographs
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns and vehicle defect reports
- Dealing with issues such as quarantined titles etc.
- Ad-hoc administration duties
What we need from you
- Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail
- A general understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations
- Experience of producing reports and statistics in a timely manner
- Experience of working in a customer focused, time sensitive environment with daily fluctuating workloads
- Able to react quickly to information, helping solve any challenges to routes
- Good computer skill -essential and experience using in-house transport management systems is an advantage
