  • Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role

  • Tracker is currently seeking an experienced Dealer Development Executive, to join a well-established market leading Telematics and Stolen Vehicle Recovery Company based in Uxbridge.
  • Tracker is a subsidiary of CalAmp, a pure-play pioneer of the Connected Car, Connected Truck and broader Internet of Things (IoT) marketplace, based in California.
  • With vehicle theft on the increase in the UK, up by 52% over the last two years, there is an increasing requirement for Tracker's services. Insurance companies are significantly increasing premiums, and in the case of a number of higher risk, more valuable vehicles, people are struggling to get insurance at all.
  • We are looking to build on this competitive advantage with an increased focus on the B2B market. As Dealer Development Executive, reporting directly into the Sales Director, Automotive, to drive our dealer strategy and support the team in delivering strong, profitable revenue growth. You should have a proven experience working with automotive dealerships, and preferably an existing network across dealer groups. There is a fantastic opportunity to materially grow the business, through the core automotive channels.
  • Objective: To deliver significant, profitable revenue growth through a team of field sales professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Delivering face-to-face onboarding and ongoing training to a network of automotive dealerships signed up with Tracker
  • Supporting our partnerships with clients such as BMW and Toyota by supporting dealer queries and training needs
  • Developing effective working relationships with automotive dealer groups throughout the UK, so that they realise the full benefits of using our company's leading-edge fleet and stolen vehicle recovery & telematics solutions
  • Execute a plan to support the team in achieving revenue targets and improve penetration rates in our dealer partners
  • Conduct a minimum number of dealer visits per month to support the requirements of our clients
  • Keeping abreast of trends and market conditions to provide strategic input to the senior team but also planning and managing the full relationship between the business and the clients
  • Attend event & networking meetings to identify key prospects and represent Tracker
  • Use Tracker CRM systems to record all client communications
  • Attend customer review meeting to extract additional value and realise total contract value
  • Qualifications

Primary Requirements

  • Ambitious and driven professional who is motivated by achieving customer satisfaction and exceeding goals.
  • Evidence of experience within the Automotive sector. May have been working for an automotive dealer group company in a key role, or selling into dealerships.
  • Excellent people and communication skills, and an ability to successfully influence and inspire others or gain consensus.
  • With proven problem-solving skills and an ability to devise and implement strategies to benefit both the company and our clients.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Maximising client business opportunities.
  • Developing client solution programmes leveraging on the potential return on the investment.
  • Managing budgets.

Other qualifications considered a plus

  • Experience with telematics insurance.
  • Experience delivering an aftermarket solution into dealerships (e.g. paint protection, dashcams etc).
  • Experience in large multinational companies.
