Job Title: Lead App Developer – Dating & Friendship & group Platform About the Role: We’re seeking an experienced App Developer (or small development team) to build a next-generation dating and friendship app — a unique blend of apps similar to Hinge, Tinder, and Bumble, with an emphasis on authentic connection, inclusivity, and user safety. You’ll lead the full product build from concept to deployment, working closely with our design and strategy team to create a platform that feels both modern and meaningful. Ideally this "App" would also be accessible on Desktop too so there is the possibility of creating a highly responsive website that is user friendly on Desktop, Tablet and any Smart Phone while also dualling as a downloadable standalone app Key Responsibilities App Development: Design, build, and deploy a cross-platform (iOS and Android) app using modern frameworks (Flutter, React Native, or similar). Backend Architecture: Develop secure databases, APIs, and user management systems (authentication, profiles, messaging, etc.). Core Features: Implement comment only discovery (no swiping), mutual matching, profile prompts (like Hinge), gender and orientation inclusivity, location filters, and friendship/dating/group modes. Safety & Privacy: Integrate reporting, blocking, and identity verification features. Algorithm Design: Build smart match recommendation systems based on preferences, engagement, and compatibility data. Create a sleek, intuitive interface that reflects brand tone and accessibility standards. Testing & Maintenance: Conduct app testing, bug fixing, and ensure performance optimisation post-launch. Analytics Integration: Embed analytics tools to track engagement, retention, and matching success rates. Qualifications Proven experience building and launching social or dating apps (portfolio or app store links preferred). Strong proficiency with React Native, Flutter, or equivalent frameworks. Solid understanding of Firebase, AWS, or Google Cloud backends. Experience implementing real-time chat and notification systems. Strong grasp of data security, user authentication, and GDPR/privacy compliance. Bonus: Familiarity with AI-driven recommendation systems and geolocation APIs.
