JOB TITLE: Data & Automation Specialist

JOB REFERENCE: DAS 09/25

HOURS: Standard working hours are 9am- 5pm, Monday to Friday

JOB LOCATION: Galgorm (Ballymena).

SALARY: £40,000 to £45,000 for more experienced hires.

Job Purpose

To drive operational efficiency and business insight through data automation, reporting, and process improvement using tools like Power BI and Power Automate.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate.
• Build and enhance reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Integrate data from diverse sources (Excel, SQL, PDFs, server folders, accounting systems).
• Collaborate with teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
• Support ongoing development of reporting and automation flows.
• Assist with data exports and transformation for analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong mathematical aptitude (e.g., comfortable with formulas, coding skills).
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
• Experience with Power Automate or similar automation tools.
• Familiarity with basic scripting or formula-based logic.
• Ability to learn new platforms and tools independently.
• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
• Comfortable using AI tools like Copilot for coding and automation support.
• Exposure to Project Management.
  

Desirable Qualifications

• Degree in a STEM field (e.g., Physics, Engineering, Mathematics) is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience with SQL databases and data integration.
• Prior exposure to business reporting and automation in a commercial setting.
