  • What will you be doing?
  • We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Data & Security Compliance professional to join our ambitious team in Birmingham or Liverpool. This is a permanent role with expected office attendance of minimum 3 days per week.
  • As a Data and Security Compliance Analyst, you will conduct targeted compliance searches to detect Personally Identifiable Information (PII), regulated content and other sensitive data. These searches support internal investigations, legal discovery and adherence to regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and industry-specific standards. The position ensures that data governance practices align with organisational policies and legal obligations, minimising risk and maintaining trust.

  • As a Data & Security Compliance Analyst, your responsibilities will include among others,
  • Executing Compliance Searches - Use Microsoft Purview’s Compliance Portal and PowerShell scripts to run advanced searches across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
  • Detect PII and other regulated content
  • Apply sensitivity labels and retention policies to protect data and enforce compliance
  • Ensure Regulatory and Policy Alignment
  • Manage Access and Security, as well as document findings and support
  • Collaborate Across Functions, working closely with Legal, HR, Risk, and Security teams to align eDiscovery workflows with organisational needs
  • Qualifications
  • Skills and Experience
  • To be successful in this role, you should have,
  • Expertise in Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal and eDiscovery
  • Experience with PowerShell for compliance search commands
  • Knowledge of data classification, sensitivity labels, and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Demonstrable and proven experience in Compliance, Security, or Data Governance roles
