About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional and passionate Dance Teacher to lead a comprehensive dance curriculum and extracurricular activities. The successful candidate will foster a love of movement, technique, and performance across various age and ability levels.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating practical and theoretical Dance lessons for students across all key stages, covering a variety of styles (e.g., Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Street Dance).
- Develop and choreograph performance pieces for school shows, assemblies, and external competitions, managing all aspects of rehearsals.
- Assess and track student technique, progress, and performance skills, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development and review of the departmental curriculum, ensuring alignment with current standards and artistic innovation.
- Organise and lead extracurricular dance clubs and ensembles, maximising student participation and commitment.
- Collaborate effectively with other Arts departments (Drama, Music) on integrated performance projects.
- Maintain a safe, disciplined, and positive learning environment in the dance studio.
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field, and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven successful experience teaching Dance at the secondary school level.
- Expert practical knowledge and versatility across multiple dance styles and techniques.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve high technical and performance standards.
- Strong skills in choreography, direction, and stage production.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, essential for managing performances and lessons.
- A proactive commitment to contributing significantly to the school's artistic and cultural life.
