  • Job Description
  • Join Version 1, one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology consultancies and an award-winning Oracle Partner, where innovation, growth, and excellence go hand in hand.
  • We’re looking for an experienced Cutover manager who’s not just a problem-solver, but a people leader — someone who thrives on mentoring others, driving service excellence, and making a real impact for global customers.
  • At Version 1, you’ll work with cutting-edge talented consultants, and collaborate with some of the most experienced Oracle professionals in the industry. You’ll have the autonomy to shape processes, elevate customer success, and continuously develop your own career - all within a company that’s been recognised as a Great Place to Work for over a decade.
  • If you’re passionate about leadership, service delivery, and maximising the value of enterprise solutions, this is your chance to join a team that’s as ambitious and driven as you are.
  • The Role
  • We are now seeking an experienced Cutover Manager to join our Oracle team, supporting major public sector clients. The Cutover Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all cutover activities required to transition from legacy systems and processes to new solutions with minimal business disruption. This role ensures readiness across technical, business, data, and infrastructure streams, leading the cutover lifecycle from planning through go-live and post-implementation hypercare.
  • Key Responsibilities

You will

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed cutover plans, including timelines, resource allocation, dependencies, and task ownership, aligned with project milestones and business requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead all cutover activities, including data migration, process scheduling, mock cutovers, dress rehearsals, and final production cutover. Ensure readiness across all workstreams (technical, business, data, infrastructure, and security) prior to go-live.
  • Facilitate Go/No-Go decision checkpoints, ensuring all entry and exit criteria are met for a successful transition. Identify, assess, escalate, and resolve cutover risks, issues, and dependencies in collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Oversee defect management during cutover and hypercare, including triage, prioritization, resolution tracking, and escalation. Define and manage contingency plans, rollback strategies, and recovery procedures to mitigate risk and enable rapid response to issues.
  • Ensure clear, timely communication and reporting throughout the cutover process, including status reports, dashboards, issue logs, and executive updates. Coordinate with local and global stakeholders to support business continuity and ensure operational readiness.
  • Provide hypercare support post go-live, addressing issues and ensuring a smooth transition and handover to operations and support teams.
  • Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of cutover methodologies, standards, and templates.
  • This role requires candidates to be eligible for SC clearance, which includes having a minimum of 5 years of continuous residency in the UK.
  • Qualifications
  • Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Cutover Manager or in a similar role within large-scale system implementations (e.g., ERP, CRM, core banking, cloud transformations).
  • Strong understanding of system implementation lifecycles, data migration, and release management.
  • Strong risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
