Credit Controller – 6-Month Fixed Term Contract Location: Outskirts of Colchester (Hybrid Working) At Rutherford Briant, we’re supporting a respected and long-standing organisation on the outskirts of Colchester, known for its collaborative culture and strong focus on financial discipline. They are seeking a Credit Controller on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support the team through a busy period, ensuring timely cash collection and maintaining excellent relationships across their customer base. As a Credit Controller, you will: Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding invoices Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients to resolve queries and prevent overdue debt Liaise closely with internal departments to ensure accurate billing and smooth cashflow processes Monitor aged debt, prepare debtor reports, and highlight key risks or trends to management Support month-end processes including reconciliations and cash allocation Assist with process improvements and contribute to a positive team culture As a Credit Controller, you will need: Previous experience in credit control or a similar accounts receivable role Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first approach A proactive and organised mindset, able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment Good Excel and ERP system skills (experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar is advantageous) A collaborative attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team As a Credit Controller, you will get: Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid working and flexible hours
