Permanent IBA Credit Controller – City of LondonOur client, a Lloyd’s broker based in the City, is looking for an IBA Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is a new role created due to continued growth and will provide important support to the IBA Accountant and Finance Director. The position offers exposure to a wide range of IBA duties and the chance to develop your career within a busy and established insurance environment.Main duties:• Match cash for client and underwriter accounts• Review statements and comment on outstanding premiums• Help raise client, underwriter and claim payments• Credit control (calls and emails)• Release premiums on Xchanging for the London market• Keep information up to date on the in-house system• Build working relationships with UK and international contacts• Resolve queries efficiently• Support the Finance Director with ad hoc tasks and systems projectsRequirements:• Minimum 12 months’ experience in insurance sector, ideally in IBA or credit control• Proven track record of chasing outstanding premiums and reducing aged debt• Strong communication skills for dealing with clients, underwriters, and brokers by phone and email• Good numerical skills and attention to detail when reconciling accounts• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy finance environment• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritise workload effectively• Team player with a professional approach and strong relationship-building skillsBenefits:• 25 days annual holiday• Flexible hours (9:00–5:00 or 9:30–5:30)• Hybrid working (2–3 days per week in the office)• Excellent City of London location• Supportive team environment with regular team
