Credit Controller Reed Accountancy are partnering with a dynamic and forward-thinking business to recruit a dedicated Credit Controller. This key role sits within the Credit Management Department and focuses on managing customer accounts, ensuring compliance with trading terms, and supporting robust credit control processes across the team. Day-to-day of the role: Chasing customers for payment using telephone, email, or letter based on the Aged Debtor Report and structured Credit Cycle.Sending daily Stop Lists to Customer Excellence & Field Sales and providing customer query information to the Credits Admin Section.Reconciling ledger accounts with customers, ensuring all discrepancies are fully investigated and corrected.Handling remittances for payments received and allocating them accordingly using the Unallocated Cash Report.Issuing copy invoices, credits, and statements via email or post and taking card payments as needed.Agreeing on payment plans with customers and monitoring the maintenance of the generic Credit Control email box.Keeping all credit accounts accurate and well-managed, putting accounts on hold as required and liaising with Customer Excellence and Sales Reps.Maintaining customer accountancy preferences and ensuring timely dispatch of post items and legal aged debt notifications.Raising month-end statements and converting statements into Excel format for specific customers.Completing banking duties as per the departmental rota and ensuring all departmental customer communication is completed within set timeframes.Maintaining KPIs and assisting with Credit Admin and Credit Management duties as required. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 6 months experience in an accounts department, preferably within credit control.Confident in speaking
