Reed Accountancy are working with a well-established organisation who are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Credit Controller to join a busy Finance team within a growing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on cashflow and customer relationships in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities As a Credit Controller, you will: Take ownership of your customer ledger, managing overdue balances, placing accounts on/off stop, setting up payment plans, and issuing debt-chasing communications.Accurately record and allocate incoming payments.Set up new customer accounts and conduct credit checks to assess financial risk.Collaborate with Account Managers to chase payments and resolve customer queries.Monitor unallocated payments and arrange internal transfers where necessary.Produce weekly and monthly debtor reports for management review.Support the Accounts Receivable Manager by attending meetings, suggesting process improvements, and ensuring credit control procedures are followed. About You You’ll thrive in this role if you have: Minimum 2 years’ experience in credit control or a similar finance role.Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.A credit control qualification (advantageous but not essential).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software (Dynamics is a bonus).Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritise effectively.A team-player mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement.
