Key Responsibilities

• Proactively managing the behaviour of pupils in accordance with the school's policies to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
• Ensuring that students are engaged with and completing the pre-prepared lesson plans and exercises.
• Encouraging the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom, ensuring everyone has equal access to learning opportunities.
• Answering student questions about processes and procedures, and providing general guidance to keep them on track.
• Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies that may arise in the classroom, following the school's established protocols.
• Providing objective and accurate feedback to the returning teacher on the conduct of the lesson and any issues that arose.
• Being aware of and complying with all school policies and procedures, with a particular focus on safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality.
• Gathering any completed work at the end of the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher.
• Acting as a positive role model and setting high expectations for student conduct and work ethic.
• Establishing constructive relationships and communicating effectively with other staff members, including teachers and teaching assistants.
