The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Wakefield. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged with their learning. Previous experience working with young people.
The ability to follow instructions and deliver pre-prepared lessons.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Responsibilities

Supervise students in the classroom and ensure they are on task.
Deliver pre-prepared work left by the absent teacher.
Manage student behaviour in line with the school's policies.
Answer student questions and provide support where needed.
Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
Report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff member.
Uphold the school's values and ethos.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students under your care.
Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
Assist with any ad-hoc duties as requested by the school.
