Responsibilities

• Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Managing pupil behaviour in the classroom to ensure a constructive learning environment.
• Ensuring students are on task with the pre-prepared work.
• Responding to and addressing any immediate questions or issues from students.
• Liaising with the school's teaching staff and administrative team.
• Upholding the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times.
• Reporting back to the Head of Department or relevant teacher on class progress.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students under your supervision.
• Leaving the classroom in a tidy and organised state for the returning teacher.
• Providing pastoral support to students as and when required.
