The role of a cover supervisor is a great step for those who are aspiring to be teachers as well as recent graduates looking to gain classroom experience. Your main responsibilities as a cover supervisor will involve the following: Creating a positive learning environment for students and helping them develop with their academic studiesSupervising student's behaviour and referring to the school's behaviour management policy if requiredDisplaying subject knowledge to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4Following the schools safeguarding policies, ensuring a safe environment for the students Qualities and attributes we are looking for as a cover supervisor: Flexibility to cover multiple subjects and to correspond with any last-minute requirementsExcellent communication skills with a passion for making an impact on student's livesPrevious experience preferred, but not essentialA university degreeAn enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to apply to one Why work for Academics as a cover supervisor and what are the benefits?
