As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning when a Teacher is absent.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage classes of students during the short-term absence of a Teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment by managing student behavior in line with the school's policy.
• Respond to student questions and provide assistance to help them complete their work.
• Collect completed work and ensure the classroom is left in a tidy condition.
• Report any issues or concerns about student behavior or a lesson to the relevant staff member.
• Foster a safe and supportive atmosphere for all students.

What We're Looking For:

• A passion for working with young people and an understanding of the secondary school environment.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• The ability to build rapport with students and motivate them to learn.
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to think on your feet.
• A calm, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a school, college, or other educational setting is desirable but not essential.
