Hiring Unit: Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) Course Description: EDPS 610. Professional Seminar 1. Reflexive thinking on equity, diversity and inclusion, classroom situations with a view to improving practice, and of teacher collaboration and community-building through a case study approach. Ongoing support for and debrief of concurrent internship. E–portfolio documentation of professional competencies and selection of artifacts. Term: Winter 2026 Course Credits: 2 Location: SH680 451 Schedule: Monday, 05:35 pm-08:25 pm Teaching Qualification Requirements: Education A PhD (in exceptional cases, PhD candidates and master teachers with an MA with extensive relevant experience will be considered); A teaching degree or equivalent and experience teaching in secondary schools; Experience Expert knowledge and experience of course content as per McGill current e-calendar course description; Knowledge of the Quebec Education program (QEP) Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation Experience teaching in the Quebec elementary/secondary school system; Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) to pre-service teachers Other A commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructors Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the course start date Number of positions available: 1 This course is not Team taught.
